A good work, a big delusion.

Thu Jul 3, 2008, 12:46 PM
I never wrote about it but on december 2006 I signed a contract with one of the biggest french comic editor "Les Humanoides Associes" for a comic book called "Ailes de Cuir" (Leather Wings) written by Luca Enoch, drawn by me and colored by Andres Mossa (I’m adding some sample pages to my gallery).

That was a dream come true for me: my first gig, my first published comic book, and maybe a future.

Too good to be true, the editor went through hard times. My project (as many others) was officially stopped while I was still working on page 37 (out of 46) of 1st tome.

When it all went down the drain I was so deluded in spirit and so in trouble financially that I decided to give up the utopic idea of drawing for a living.

But finally... Marvel, and I’m living the dream right now. I just hope it will be a long road.

The universe tends to unfold as it should...

Congratulations on getting through such a tough time still intact! You do beautiful work, by the way, so there was no way you were staying unemployed long!

You're right, but the universe sometimes tends to unfold when's too late, it was not my case luckily but it was so close!
Thank you very much for appreciating my work!

:) You're welcome.

BTW, your signature is my favorite line from Sandman. It's a beautifully haunting sentiment. Very nice choice of quotes.
